Everyday Metaphors

Perhaps we can see another world through some everyday things?
I shower each day to get clean, but God has made me clean forever.

I put on clothes to cover myself, but God has covered me in righteousness.

I turn the phone chargers off to save money & power, but God has freely given me His power which will never run out.

I use pegs to holds the washing on the line, God gives me His word and His people to keep me properly attached.

I balance the load on the rotary drier to stop it from creaking, God offers to take the strain and stress from our souls.

I make pack lunches so my children have what they need each day, God answers prayers so I have what I need.

Gloves protect my hands as I wash up, but God has no barrier with us. His hands are dirty.

I wait for the water to run hot, but the Living Water is instant-on.
